Helena St. George Bio

Author

Helena St. George writes immersive new adult and older YA fiction that blends dystopian futures, psychological suspense, and imaginative fantasy. Her novels explore how ordinary people confront fear, power, trauma, and moral choice, often through richly drawn characters and socially resonant themes.

Before turning to full-time writing, Helena had careers in high-tech at NCR, ASK Computer Systems, and Apple Computer and in higher education. She holds a Master’s in English with a creative writing emphasis and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. As a former adjunct professor at Bay Area universities, Helena taught First-Year Experience, literature, writing, and communication courses. She encouraged students to engage with language, literature, and poetry, fostering critical thinking and a lifelong appreciation for the written word.

Helena St. George has a background in educational advocacy, working with families to overcome institutional barriers and secure support services. Drawing on this experience, she created Warrior Parents, a course dedicated to empowering families to advocate effectively within the public school system.

Helena relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to Northern California with her husband and their spirited labradoodle, Misty. She enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking in the region’s rugged landscapes, which often inspire the atmospheric settings of her novels.

Her work emphasizes resilience, courage, social justice, and the enduring struggle between good and evil, and she invites readers to explore her stories in depth with discussion guides and sample chapters available on her website.
